🎃 The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze: Croton-on-Hudson’s Most Magical Fall Tradition

What Is the Blaze?

The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze is an annual fall event put on by Historic Hudson Valley. It transforms the grounds of Van Cortlandt Manor in Croton-on-Hudson into a glowing pumpkin wonderland. Over 7,000 hand-carved jack-o’lanterns are displayed in elaborate, flowing scenes, with synchronized lighting and original soundscapes to heighten the mood.

Visitors walk along a curated trail through the 18th-century estate, passing through themed displays like the “Pumpkin Promenade,” a pumpkin-bridge (sometimes called the “Pumpkin Zee Bridge”), carved cityscapes, and seasonal surprises.
